Though all skill levels are
welcome, this workshop is for the pastel painter who
has some experience with the medium and is
interested in developing a stronger composition in
their paintings. By establishing a more personal
approach to using shape, value, and color, the
student can learn to create a dynamic, sensitive,
and uniquely personal statement about the subject.
Drawing and painting from nature, working on
customized support surfaces, and creating
compositions in the studio from value field studies
are at the heart of the class. “My goal with each
student is to encourage exploration and
self-discovery, motivate artistic growth, have fun…
and act as the safety net!” |
